Anyone ever mess with the Baja Warrior mini bikes? This was my first step into the chinese manufactured vehicles and the reason I felt comfortble stepping up to the buggies. After about 18 months stored in my Dad"s barn I brought it back home to get it going again. No surprise it wouldn"t start when I got it back to the house. I hosed it off and removed the carb. The jet(only has one) was completely clogged. I got the jet opened back up and cleaned the rest of the carb up. Drained the fuel out and put about a quart of new gas in. Sprayed a little carb cleaner in the air intake and after a few pulls, it started right up. My daughter had a lot of fun on it, but, with a top speed of about 25mph and the limits of the centrifigul clutch drive as far as hill climbing goed she has kind of let it go by the wayside. I hate to see it just sit. Has anyone done any modifications on these minibikes. I am thinking a different carb, torque converter and maybe fabbing some sort of rear suspension. If anyone has any ideas or experience with these things I would appreciate your input.

there is alot!!! of stuff you can do to that engine, its a honda clone engine to the GX200 motor that they use for racing karts, i happened to pick up the same engine and had it on a kart, started researching and learned alot about it from arcracing.com first thing was removing the governor which there is youtube video"s showing just how easy it is. then you can look at arc racing and see all the different parts. i ended up installing walbro fuel pump, jets, filter, header, muffler and my kart was kinda scary to full throttle. brakes were kinda sketchy! all in all you can make that thing go faster then you will want too!

I was told that you couldn"t remove the governor. That is one thing I have alwys wanted to do. That governor shut"s the motor down just when it starts to really pull. What do I search for to find that video? I really want to put a torque converter on as well. Just not sure if the new comet clones will work on the Baja.
yes you can absolutely remove the gov, this motor is the same as what they call the yellow box top, blue harbor freight and now yours is the new harbor freight painted black, there all the same OHV 6.5 honda clone. i cant find the exact video i used but i did search governor removal on 6.5 honda clone. there was a couple video"s on there that were enough to give you a good idea of what you need to know. as for the converter, you can find racing centrifugal clutches for like 30 bucks that work pretty good! these things are really simple to work on and can be alot of fun!
